Shinjuku Bus Terminal to APA Hotel Shinjuku Gyoemmae

Quick Summary
This post is based on my experience traveling with my boyfriend from Narita Airport to APA Hotel Shinjuku Gyoemmae on April 1, 2026.
We first took the Airport Limousine Bus from Narita Airport to Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal, also known as Busta Shinjuku. The bus journey took around 1.5 hours. From there, we continued to the hotel by taxi, which took approximately 8 minutes and cost around ¥700.
APA Hotel Shinjuku Gyoemmae is located about 1 km from Busta Shinjuku, so walking is definitely possible if you are traveling light. In our case, though, we had just arrived from the airport with our luggage, and it was raining.
So instead of walking for about 1 km in the rain, we decided to take a taxi. Honestly, it made the final part of the journey so much easier and more comfortable. The fare also turned out to be pretty affordable, probably because the distance was short. For two people with luggage, we thought it was a really good deal.

My Experience
After landing at Narita Airport, we took the Airport Limousine Bus to Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal (Busta Shinjuku) and arrived at around 4:40 PM. Since APA Hotel Shinjuku Gyoemmae was only about 1 km away, we originally considered walking.
However, it was raining, and we were carrying luggage. So, instead of walking in the rain after a long flight, we decided to take a taxi instead.
Finding the taxi stand was easy. After walking around 50–100 meters from the bus drop-off area, we reached the designated taxi queue. There were already several people waiting, but taxis arrived frequently, so we only waited a few minutes before getting into one.
The taxi ride itself took around 8 minutes and cost approximately ¥700. Looking back, I think it was one of the best decisions we made that day. The fare was pretty affordable for two people, we stayed dry, avoided dragging our luggage through the rain, and still had plenty of energy left to explore the Shinjuku area after checking in.
