[NEW] Villa Capri PIK Italian Restaurant: Menu That I Tried

On Saturday, June 15, 2024, I went to PIK with my university friend whom I hadn’t seen for quite some time. We decided to go to PIK so that we would have a lot to explore while walking and talking to catch up on each other’s lives. It was pretty early, around 10 AM, when we arrived at Pantjoran PIK. We walked around, eating ice cream, chatting and laughing, continuing to Cove at Batavia, and then walking until we reached the area of Batavia PIK.

By lunchtime, we were still wandering around, trying to decide where to eat. As we reached the end of Batavia PIK, we couldn’t make up our minds. We were still unsure which restaurant to choose. However, we both remembered seeing a lively, bustling restaurant earlier. Most of the other restaurants were nearly empty, even though it was during lunch. The whole area of Batavia PIK was pretty empty too, with fewer people walking around. I’m not sure what happened, because the last time I visited, the whole area was bustling and lively.

So, we decided to go back to that restaurant to once again make sure we wanted it. The restaurant was Villa Capri, an Italian restaurant by Hiro Group, located right across from the main lobby of Batavia PIK. When we returned, the restaurant still looked lively with most of the tables inside full, except for a few empty outdoor tables. After taking another look, we agreed to dine there.

When we came in, most of the waitresses and waiters were busy. We waited a bit until one of them welcomed us and asked how many people were in our party. They checked and found that all the tables inside were full, leaving only the outdoor tables available.

The outdoor area wasn’t completely open as it was on the restaurant’s terrace deck, decorated with flowers. It was actually quite pretty and had the advantage of great lighting for anyone wanting to take pictures or videos. The restaurant, in general, was very beautiful, especially with its interior design and decoration. Unfortunately, the outdoor area was also the smoking area. When we arrived, two guys were smoking, which bothered us a bit, but thankfully, they finished quickly.

Since the outdoor area was quite hot without any AC, we decided to move closer to the door connecting to the inside area. This turned out to be a good move, as we got some cool air from the AC inside, making it a pleasant experience, outdoors with a touch of AC flow from inside. Hahaha.

B. Menu Villa Capri That I Ordered:

Once we settled in our outdoor spot, we browsed through the menu and made our choices. Here’s what we ordered along with their prices:

  • Alfredo Tagliatelle – Rp 140,000
  • Coca Cola – Rp 70,000
  • Pepperoni Pizza – Rp 105,000
  • Seafood Tagliatelle – Rp 155,000
  • TA Paper Bag – Rp 4,132

*The prices listed are before tax and service charges.
*We needed the paper bag to wrap the unfinished pizza and take it home.

2. Pepperoni Pizza

Pepperoni Pizza: Tomato sauce, mozarella, parmesan, pepperoni

The Pepperoni Pizza at Villa Capri PIK is really tasty. It has a thin layer like an authentic Italian pizza, with a crust that is soft but crunchy on the edges. It’s pretty big, and for two people, it’s more than enough. We couldn’t finish it because we were already so full, so, we asked to have the remaining pizza packed to take home.

3. Alfredo Tagliatelle

Alfredo Tagliatelle: Tagliatelle with mushroom, beef bites ni creamy sauce, balsamic reduction & rucola salad

The Alfredo Tagliatelle at Villa Capri is a delicious and satisfying dish. It consists of tagliatelle pasta tossed with mushrooms and tender beef bites in a creamy sauce. The addition of a balsamic reduction and a fresh rucola salad provides a nice balance of flavors. The creamy texture of the sauce makes it a comforting dish, and it’s topped with thin slices of cheese that add an extra layer of richness. Every bite was a delight, combining the savory mushrooms and beef with the smooth, creamy sauce. It’s a hearty meal that leaves you feeling full and happy.

4. Seafood Tagliatelle

Seafood Tagliatelle: Black ink tagliatelle with pink sauce, prawn, mussels &fried calamari

The Seafood Tagliatelle at Villa Capri is another great choice. It’s made with black ink tagliatelle and comes with a pink sauce, prawns, mussels, and fried calamari. The menu has a chili sign indicating it’s spicy, but for an Indonesian palate, it’s actually not spicy at all—just very slightly. The combination of seafood with the creamy pink sauce is really tasty, and the black ink pasta adds a unique touch. It’s a flavorful and enjoyable dish that’s definitely worth trying.

Everything we tried at Villa Capri PIK was tasty and filling. They even serve free bread and breadsticks, so ordering just two dishes is enough to make you full. But since the food is so good, it’s actually worth it to try everything on the menu. How about you? Have you dined at Villa Capri Restaurant? What do you think?
